Exports to South Korea reached over US$13.4 billion in 9 months
Monday, October 22,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam exported US$ 13.4 billion worth of goods to South Korea in the first nine months of this year, increased sharply by 25.96 per cent over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
Telephones and components were leading the list of items exported by the country to South Korea in the first nine months of this year with the export turnover of over $3.3 billion, up by 17.1 per cent year – on – year and accounted for 24.8 per cent of the total.
In the first nine months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of coal to South Korea reached 321,300 tons worth of $42.4 million, up by 3.6 times or 255.8 per cent in quantity and 3.3 times or 326.29 per cent in value over the same period last year. The exports of cameras, camcorders and components to South Korea also increased by 2.7 times or 165.35 per cent to $263.2 million.
However, the exports of rubber to South Korea fell by 27.11 per cent in quantity and 42.34 per cent in value to 24,000 tons worth of $36.1 million; and the exports of coffee – down by 10.55 per cent in quantity and 19.58 per cent in value to 24,000 tons worth of $51.6 million.
The exports of crude oil to South Korea fell sharply by 51.35 per cent in quantity and 26.89 per cent in value to 79,600 tons worth of $47.9 million; fertilizer – down by 59.85 per cent in quantity and 21.21 per cent in value to 22,300 tons worth of $7.3 million.
