In June, the country’s exports of fruits and vegetables were estimated at $326 million, down by 6.1 per cent month – on – month but up by 19.8 per cent year – on – year. 

China was still the biggest fruit and vegetable export market of Vietnam in the first six months of this year with the export turnover of $1.47 billion, up by 17.8 per cent year – on – year and accounted for 74 per cent of the total.

It was followed by the U.S with $61.92 million, up by 15.5 per cent; South Korea - $58.03 million, up by 16.6 per cent; Japan - $56.93 million, up by 0.7 per cent; Thailand - $30.53 million, up by 37.4 per cent; and the Netherlands - $30.32 million, down by 2.6 per cent year – on – year. 

In the first six months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of fruits and vegetables to Cambodia rocketed by 618.4 per cent to $2.03 million; while the exports to France, Germany, Thailand, Australia and Canada also increased by 44.6 per cent; 28.8 per cent; 37.4 per cent; 24.9 per cent and 24.5 per cent, respectively over the same period last year.
