Trade exchange between Vietnam and Saudi Arabia fell
Friday, July 29,2016AsemconnectVietnam - In the first half of this year The bilateral trade exchange between Vietnam and Saudi Arabia was down by 8.9 per cent over the same period last year to US$ 696.5 million, according to the preliminary statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
Of the figure, the country exported $ 204.94 million worth of goods to and imported $ 287 million worth of goods from Saudi Arabia, down by 4.07 per cent and up by 23.9 per cent, respectively compare to the same period of 2015.
It was followed by seafood with $ 29.24 million, down by 15 per cent year – on – year; textiles and garments - $ 26.1 million, up by 87 per cent; wood and furniture - $ 11.99 million, up by 2.6 per cent.

Imports: In the first half of this year, the country’s import of plastics from Saudi Arabia saw decrease of 4.76 per cent; that of chemical products – down by 40.8 per cent; chemicals – down by 12.19 per cent; and liquefied gas – down by 57.81 per cent.
