Exports to India increased sharply

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s exports of goods in the first four months of this year reached US$ 2.1 billion, increased sharply by 104 per cent over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.

By the end of April, there were 5 items that earned the export turnover of over $ 100 million. Means of transport and spare parts were leading with nearly $ 109 million; machines, equipment and spare parts – nearly $ 710 million.

In the first four months of this year, the country’s exports of cashew nuts to India fell in quantity and in value; but the average cashew export price reached $ 6,956.43 per ton; while the iron and steel export price fell by 18.51 per cent year – on – year to $ 138.53 per ton.

In the first four months of this year, Vietnam got $ 359 million of deficit in trade exchange with India.
