AsemconnectVietnam - Viet Fund has registered to sell its entire stake totalling 1.3 million shares (1.9 percent) of Vietnam Sun Corporation (VNS) between May 25 and June 23.

* Thien Nam Trading Import Export Company (TNA) will spend some VND8 billion advancing a 2016 dividend at VND1,000 per share on the record date of June 3. The company will make payments on July 1, TNA said in a document sent to the Hochiminh Stock Exchange. The firm plans to sell 2.1 million shares to existing shareholders at a 4:1.1 ratio to increase its chartered capital from the current VND80 billion. In January-March, TNA earned VND846.1 billion revenue, up 80 percent from a year earlier, and VND30.1 billion net profit, a 110 percent rise. This year, the company looks to attain revenue of VND2.5 trillion and pre-tax profit of VND115 billion.

* Tran Quoc Toan, deputy general director of Dien Quang Company (DQC), will be selling his entire stake amounting to over 40,000 DQC shares from May 26 to June 24.

* Tan Binh Import Export Corporation (TIX) will pay a 2016 first round dividend of 10 percent in cash for shareholders on the record date of lune 3. Payments will be made on June 24.

* Tran Hoang Tuan, chair of DIC-Dong Tien Company (DID), has registered to buy two million DID shares to increase his stake in DID by 40 percentage points to 64.5 percent over one month starting from May 26.

* Soc Son Development Investment Company (DPS) plans to issue 16.08 million shares in a move to double its chartered capital to VND321.6 billion. DPS will sell the shares to shareholders at a 1:1 ratio at VND 10,000 each. In the first quarter of this year, the firm posted VND261.6 billion revenue, a year-on-year pickup of 50 percent, and VND8.8 billion net profit, up 2.5-fold.

* Tran Thi Anh Nguyet, a board member of Dai Chau Group Company (DCS), which manufactures interior furnishing items, will acquire three million DCS shares to revise up her holding to 3.18 million shares (4.8 percent) from May 26 to June 24.

*Vietnamhas exported over 118,000 tonnes of cashew nuts with total turnover of some $1.1 billion in the January-May period, mostly to theUS, according to the Vietnam Cashew Association. Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper cited the association’s chair Nguyen Duc Thanh as saying thatVietnamis likely to process and export 350,000 tonnes of cashew nuts this year with a value of $2.5 billion. However, with low productivity,Vietnam’s output of crude cashew has dropped by 20 percent against the same period a year earlier.

* Angkor Dairy Products Co Ltd, a joint venture between Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) and its Cambodian partner BPC Company, on May 25 inaugurated Angkor Dairy Plant inCambodia. The Vietnam News Agency quoted Cambodian deputy prime minister Men Sam An as saying that the plant will not only contribute toCambodia’s economy but also bring long-term benefits to locals, especially children. The $23 million facility is expected to produce 19 million litres of milk, 64 million yogurt boxes and 80 million cans of condensed sweetened milk in the first phase. Its production capacity will be increased to 38 million litres of milk and 192 million yogurt boxes in phase two.
